Check out the “Is Al-Anon or Alateen for Me?” page. Consider coming to a Al-Anon or Alateen meeting in your area. Meetings are a great way for a newcomer to learn about the program. District 5 has announced the date for the annual Winter Round Up! This year’s them will be “In All Our Affairs” and the event will be held on February 10 at the St Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte. The Winter Round Up is always a great day of recovery and fellowship. The cost is $8 for Al-Anon and AA members and $5 for Alateen. There will be food and beverages (bring some to share if you can) and a baked goods auction. Of course, any offers to help with the event are appreciated! The Annual Charlotte Area Al-Anon-a-thon has been announced for those seeking recovery during the holiday season. As in years past the meetings will be held at Anuvia on the corner of Randolph and Billingsley roads in Charlotte. Meetings will be held on the eves at 6, 8, and 10 PM and on the holidays at 9 AM, noon, and 3 PM. The Al-Anon-a-thon is a series of meetings held on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day for those who might be experiencing more-than-normal challenges in their recovery due to the holidays. District 8 invites you to their 11th Annual AFG Gratitude Dinner on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Greenville, NC.
