Charlotte Area 2017 Al-Anon-a-thon announced

The Annual Charlotte Area Al-Anon-a-thon has been announced for those seeking recovery during the holiday season.  As in years past the meetings will be held at Anuvia on the corner of Randolph and Billingsley roads in Charlotte.  Meetings will be held on the eves at 6, 8, and 10 PM and on the holidays at 9 AM, noon, and 3 PM. The Al-Anon-a-thon is a series of meetings held on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day for those who might be experiencing more-than-normal challenges in their recovery due to the holidays.  Of course, anyone just wanting to get some...

11th Annual District 8 Gratitude Dinner

District 8 invites you to their 11th Annual AFG Gratitude Dinner on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Greenville, NC. Speakers from AA, Al-Anon, Alateen will share their stories about this Family Disease. The North Carolina and Bermuda Area website has been redesigned to provide an updated look and improved meeting list functionality and better mobile device presentation. Newcomers will find the “About Al-Anon and Alateen” menu contains all the basics of the program, including 20 questions to help determine if the program is right for them, the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions, and the locations of the two Literature Distribution Centers.
